Meanwhile I have slowly been getting to grips with the Canon 40D mainly thanks to the informative Digital Field Guide which has been a most exciting passage of constant discovery. The field guide has elucidated on much of the technique that is briskly skimmed in the camera's manual and has allowed me to develop my handling of the Canon camera much quicker than I had expected.
My focus has been portraiture of my family and friends but occasionally when the light is guide and the time is right I pop on the Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens for a bit of landscape photography.
