Via Richard Rutter (aka Clagnut) my weblog is now geotagged. Richard has also provided a couple of useful bookmarklets to extract the longitude and latitude and feed them to Multimap. A nice feature, although a little alarming that that red dot is sitting directly over my head. Go aerial and those scenes from Enemy of the State spring to mind! One for the slighly paranoid and conspracy theorists…. Zoom out to 1:50000 and the reason I am always late for the tides on the River Severn are explained ;).
I decided to add a very little tweak to the Show Map boomarklet to allow the scale to be entered and to open the result in a new tab/window. Just drag this Show Map bookmarklet to your toolbar. Or click away now to run the bookmarklet against the geotags in my metadata.
The Nearby Blogs bookmarklet also on Clagnut is worth checking out too. The Forest of Dean appears to be quite a lonely place when it comes to blogging - where are you all!?

I have just discovered, a little late I might add, that National Geographic now provides an RSS feed allowing excerpts from the latest magazine to be syndicated. Since my copy tends to take a couple of weeks to make its way across the pond, this service provides a nice sneak preview of what is to come.

Following the latest Google PR update, I have moved into the top 15 on Google for my name! Quite stoked when I think back to 6 months ago and I was lost somewhere in the depths of the three million or so Google SERP's for Tom Wright!

MyYahoo now accommodates for RSS Syndication within its customisable UI. Upto 50 feeds can be subscribed to and served up amidst the rest of the media amalgam. With Yahoo's extensive market share, perhaps this will spread RSS to the web masses and finally make it a household name? Oh, and at last I have found somewhere that collates the football results, weather, TV listings and latest Jobs in a usable format. Thumbs up for Yahoo!
