This site applies effective use of CSS2 absolute positioning to create the overlay graphics of the Harris Hawk and the Forest of Dean Falconry logo.
The mouse over affect on the main menu is also defined in pure CSS, hence negating any dependancy on Javascript. This makes for an accessible, very lightweight and quick loading page.
A backend CMS gives the client the flexibility to add new content to numerous parts of the site. Where changes are likely to be occassional (eg the Meet the Birds content) caching of the database queries is applied with the PEAR::DB_Cache module.
