Cornish Gems lets a number of luxury holiday cottage in st ives and following a successful first year of the it was decided to reskin the Gems site to give a fresh and advanced look and feel compared to the competition in the local market. The Gems delivered the skin and we adapted it to meet accessibility requirements and optimised the semantics and underlying structure for the SERPs. The original booking system remained intact and has since been expanded upon to provide management of all CRM activities. New features included several dynamic script powered interaction widgets, Google Maps API and the pivotal part of the page delivers a slideshow of stunning images utilising slideshow pro. The new site has already grown on the success of the original site receiving considerable praise from home owners and holiday makers alike. Plus it has allowed the company to make in-roads into a highly competitive SEM field.
